Karnea Reborn
Chapter 2
Meeting of Coryn Brinefolk and Karnea Dragonbane
By Adam
"Thank you, my friend. Please see that our 'guest' is seen after, as well. I may have further need of her later.
Also, I may need you to travel to New Ports to check in on Aravis. Not that I don't trust the Prince, I just want a 'second opinion', of sorts."
As the servant brings in breakfast, Karnea orders a messenger to stand ready to deliver a missive. While waiting for him to arrive, Karnea takes out a pen and paper and writes:
"Master Coryn,
Greetings. I have heard much of your exploits in the north and desire to discuss matters of mutual interest. If we may arrange to meet at a time of your convenience, I propose we do so at the library of Palanthus. I await your reply and look forward to discussing our shared Art with you.
Cordially,
Karnea Dragonbane"
Sealing the note in a scroll case, she hands it to the courier and instructs him to deliver it to the hand of the Master of the White Robes in Palanthus.

A message is sent back by an snow white owl, it reads:
Mistress Karnea, the fantastical tales I have heard about you…. Yes, of course I will meet you at the Library… tomorrow night?

So that’s taken Care of…
By Adam
Reading the note from the White Robe, Karnea smiles. "So, that's taken care of. Lord Talron, ready yourself for travel to New Ports. While checking in with Aravis, be mindful of all that you see; any growth in the city, the presence of our Imperial friends, any rumors you happen to hear at the Roaring Griffin. Palainess has the habit of hearing all sorts of things, and he can usually be persuaded to tell someone what he knows, if the ale is cold.
"I will be leaving tomorrow to meet with the Master of the White Robes to discuss some matters of the Conclave. If I am not here when you return, use this," she hands over a small hand mirror. "Hold it before you and speak the word Mencelik."
Goodbye Talron
By Don
Taking the Mirror, Talron will give it a quick inspection, then place is in the pocket of his tunic. Better to keep it close, since he generaly finds a quick use for items she gives him. Bowing to her, he asks "Any special messages for Aravis you want me to give to her?"
A Promise

"Just let her know that all is well, and that I will see her soon."

What does Karnea do for the Next day?
What does she think of her new body, face, hair, the fact of being young in body again?

From the Manuscripts of Berterm, Master Aesthetic
The Great Library is home to the order of Aesthetics and, so far as I know, the greatest repository of learning in all the world. It has been a fixture in Palanthas for longer than anyone can recall. I do not mean this last sentence as a bit of impressive hyperbole—the fact is that no one truly knows when the edifice was built. Though it is made from the same material as all the other buildings of Old City (white stone, dragged down from the Vingaard Mountains by the dwarf craftsmen who fashioned most of our buildings), I can find no record of anyone ordering, designing, or constructing its three massive wings and separate living quarters. Still, the mystery of the structure is nothing when compared to its master.
Though I am now head of my order, I will never be master of the Library. That honor will forever belong to my master, Astinus. Many rumors have been spread about my master—that he is the avatar of Gilean, for example—but very few people know the facts of his life.
As near as I can tell, he walked onto the face of Krynn the moment the
Library was built. Astinus is gifted with an insight into the people and events of our world that is rivaled only by the bard known as the Herald. However, where the Herald’s knowledge encompasses all of the world’s past, my master saw all of her present. He spent nearly every waking hour of his centuries-long life writing down the history of Krynn as it was taking place, pausing only to see the most important of guests or to impart some vital bit of information to the Lord of Palanthas.
To help him in his work, Astinus founded the order of Aesthetics, a brotherhood of scholars sworn to observe and record the unbiased, unexpurgated truth about all the important events of the world. For all the miraculous things about my master, he could write only so quickly. While Astinus captured the overall tapestry of Krynnish history, his Aesthetics penned treatises providing deeper details on the people, places, and incidents described therein. He demanded fairness and neutrality in all things from his followers, telling us time and again that our purpose was to preserve so accurate a record that people of future generations will know the Truth.
Karnea arrives in an alleyway on Aesthetic Way, just down the way from the Library.
There is sword fighting in the distant districts. The Solamnics must finally be doing something about the Black Knight scum. The Dark Knights has occupied the town since Khellendros took over as Blue Dragon Overlord and used the Knights to collect taxes and put down revolts.
The Worm has turned . . .
You make it to the Library and ascend the short amount of steps to Doors. A acolyte opens the door for you and ushers you in to Brother Daris.
Brother Daris introduces Karnea to Coryn, he leads you both to an antechamber and closes the door behind him. There are two high-backed chairs near a fireplace with a circular table between them.
Coryn has olive skin and long black hair, legacy of her aboriginal roots from Ice Reach. She is exotically attractive, young and vibrant, not unlike yourself now.
“It is a honor to meet you, I heard stories of you when I was a little girl.”
